Another early day for breakfast and then caught the tour bus to Sapa. 45min ride to a very unique city full of hotels, restaurants, and many shops. Not your usual souvenir shops but actual stores with clothes, hats, jackets, purses, shoes etc. All great brand names but I’m sure are knock offs. Picked up some north face pants for under C$10. Walked around Sapa for about 3 hours and finished off shopping with another coconut coffee and some tiramisu! Weather in Sapa was about 20°C with lots of fog. Sapa is at the top of a mountain. Back to the hotel and to the pool for afternoon drinks for an hour and then onto a small very uncomfortable bus ride back to Hanoi. Only five hours of bouncing in the back of the bus and trying not to puke my guts out. Ugh!!Back to the Peridot grand hotel for the night and tomorrow we will transfer to Ha Long Bay for a 2 day cruise.
