Nov 21 Ecolodge tour

Well today we started out with a fantastic breakfast at the hotel. At 8:30 we met up with Su, our tour guide and boarded a bus to the start of our 4 1/2 hour hike through the jungle and rice fields of north vietnam. The views were amazing and so hard to explain. Again pics don’t do it justice. It was an off beat trail used by only the local people. So much history learned and knowledge of the local people obtained. Water buffalo grazed the empty rice fields just waiting for the next planting and harvesting season. Mile after mile we walked through villages and country sides watching mostly the women work. Apparently the men are lazy and stay home playing cards with their friends. Lol A couple beers were enjoyed along the way with a typical Vietnamese lunch. Delicious!!!We stopped at a small village on our way back and saw how the local people live. Many markets for fresh meat and veggies were  noted along with a hair salon, pharmacy, gas station, and even an Apple Store in the middle of the most  remote part of Vietnam! Yes Mike I asked but we were not allowed to buy anything only for the local people! lol  Once back to the resort, down to the infinity pool for cocktails and incredible views of the surrounding mountain sides. The infinity pool is absolutely stunning! Supper @ 7pm was dinner from a  traditional Vietnamese restaurant and was fantastic, Then cocktails on my veranda to discuss and reminisce about the day and future tours!
